A commitment ceremony is for couples, who for legal or other personal reasons are unable to legally bind in Australia, or for the couple when the piece of paper is not what your after.
Your love for each other is strong enough that you want to make a public commitment to each other, in the presence of your family and friends. There are no legal requirements.
Your ceremony can be held wherever you like - on land or water or in the air (although, I will not bungee jump), As I am a Australian Celebrant, these ceremony must be in Australian or Australian territorial waters. You may have your ceremony indoors or outside. There are no restrictions as to the time of your ceremony-from dawn to dusk, from sunrise to sunset. This decision is entirely yours.
